Burnaby Arts Alive 2015 The Burnaby Art Gallery, in collaboration with the Burnaby School District #41, and inspired by the 2015 Capture Photography Festival, has put together an exhibition highlighting works by elementary students who explore the theme of "capturing a moment." You can view the online exhibition of all student artwork from Ms. Lam's class Two students were chosen from her class and have their artwork on display from April 17 – May 17, 2015 in the lower gallery.
Registration We are welcoming registration of students born in 2010 for September 2015 kindergarten. Grade 7 students in our catchment are automatically enrolled in their catchment high school. Registration as well as acceptance into cross district schools and special programs is based on school board policy. Morley turned away a number of families outside of our catchment area who wanted to attend our great school this past fall so please be aware and register early.
Strong Start Morley's StrongStart - is a parent/caregiver participation drop-in program. Regular hours are Monday-Friday from 8:45:11:30 in Room 26. The easiest way to get to Strong Start is through the outside door on the east side of the building. There is no parking on the school grounds. For safety reasons, please leave strollers and buggies outside. To register, bring your child's birth certificate, passport or immigration papers with you. There is a great program with lots of activities for parents and their children to participate in as well as free snacks. Burnaby’s StrongStart Centres are open Monday to Friday when schools are open for instruction. NOTE: The Burnaby Strong Start centres will also be closed on the following additional days for the 2014/15 school year: April 10 & 27, May 15, June 12 & 25.
Online Payment for Hot Lunch and Young People's Concerts: Parents who are paying the full amount for hot lunch are able to do so online. We will also be providing the same service for our Intermediate students attending Young People's Concerts. If you are needing to make financial arrangements for partial payment of Hot Lunch, please return the Hot Lunch Envelope with your payment. For arrangements for Young People's Concert please see your child's classroom teacher.
Burnaby Parks and Rec have a variety of programs available for students at the Edmonds Community center as well as after school programs right here at Morley. For more information on Morley programs and to register go to the online registration and select Children then select Morley as the location.
