Morley Elementary School is located in Burnaby, B.C. We have approximately 340 students representing more than 25 spoken languages. We actively live by our motto of "safe, welcome and responsible" as we interact on a daily basis. Our aim is to empower all learners to achieve their personal best.
February has some great events and it is through these that our students learning goes deeper, their enthusiasm goes higher and their connections with peers, Morley staff and family can grow. Family day, our mural project, the choice of a new Mascot, student led conferences, pink day, a book fair and valentines day are the big events and we hope that they bring great memories! We are continuing some cold and wet weather days so please keep in mind our district policy on school closures due to weather are on the district web site.
Registration for Kindergarten students starting in September 2014 has begun. If you have a child that was born in 2009 please come by and register before the end of February. More information is available from our district registration information site. Morley also has a Burnaby Family Life Daycare, Preschool and Before and After School Care center. Our New Logo!
Burnaby Parks and Rec have a variety of programs available for students at the newly opened Edmonds Community center as well as after school programs right here at Morley. For more information on Morley programs and to register go to the online registration and select Children then select Morley as the location.
Morley has a new logo! Last year we asked students, staff and parents to come up with three words to describe the ideal Morley student and our motto of "Safe, Welcome, Responsible" is based on the overwhelming choice of all. This year we have updated our logo to visually reflect our motto. After presenting a variety of options to students, staff and parents, the logo above was chosen. Thank you students, staff and parents for your input.
Online Payment for Hot Lunch and Young People's Concerts: Starting this year, parents who are paying the full amount for hot lunch will be able to do so online.
